Rotala ramosior

Not often seen in an underwater aquarium, this lowland plant is absolutely breathtaking. With eye-catching yellows, oranges and reds, it brightens up any aquarium and does its job well as a centerpiece.

It is an easy plant to keep, though it requires moderate to high light. Leaves are very neat and straight for the young plant, and starts to curl as the plant grows bigger (and gets closer to the light). Compare the leaf growth in the photos and you will see the difference between the bigger and smaller plants. The plant has tough stems which grow straight up. It will split as it gets closer to the light.
